The Book-Blogging Facelift
I've decided to give the old book blog a little bit of a facelift. I've always been quite inconsistent with blogging content, but since I'd started the NTWB podcast, I really haven't had much time for my BookTube channel. To be honest, I'm not sure what will become of it, but I know it's just too much work to keep up with both.
Blogging, on the other hand, feels much more accessible. I can document my thoughts on the books I'm reading without having to worry about natural lighting, setting up all of my equipment, whether or not I showered—let's be real, feeling comfortable in front of a camera takes some effort when you work from home in your PJs and your standard for hygiene is not being embarrassed walking to the mailbox. Yikes.
I don't know what my long-term plans are for my YouTube channel, but I know I'm in a season in which filming any kind of video feels impossible. Life is busy, but it's busy with all good things, and so rather than feeling guilty about not posting a video in a few months, I'm going to focus on what brings me joy. For now, that's writing. Writing, and podcasting. Having a podcast with one of my besties feels like a dream. It's hard work, don't get me wrong—it's much more time-consuming than starting a YouTube channel IMO—but it's so rewarding, especially for my reading life.
What's bringing you joy right now? What's bringing you joy specifically in your reading world?
P.S. If you wanted to subscribe to this blog via email and get notifications in your inbox every time I create a post, it would set my heart aflutter.
Happy reading! x
